Effective 18 March 2002, The Territory Inn in Alice Springs is renamed Aurora Alice Springs.

Effective 1 May 2002. The All Seasons premier Darwin Central Hotel will not be extending its management agreement with Accor and  will be known as the Darwin Central Hotel.

Effective 21 May 2002 smoking is prohibited in all areas where food is consumed in Queensland in compliance with the recently introduced legislation.  Exception applies to open-air facilities.

Effective 1 June 2002, The Wentworth Sydney will no longer be associated with Rydges Hotels – Resorts.

SPIRIT OF TASMANIA

TT-Line Company Pty Ltd have decided to operate two fast monohull vessels to provide a daily, faster passenger and freight service between Tasmania and Victoria to replace the current Spirit of Tasmania and Devil Cat Services.  These vessels will commence operation on 01 September 2002 with the new fares as below.  These fares will supercede all rates quoted previously.

Spirit Of Tasmania


Spirit across Bass Strait onboard one of the new superfast vessels the Spirit of Tasmania I or II.  The new vessels offer a variety of accommodation standards.  Two and four berth cabins and luxury suites are available, all with private toilet and shower facilities plus air conditioning.  Passengers will be able to select from a wide variety of food options during their Bass Strait crossing.  In addition to a self-service buffet restaurant and an a la carte restaurant as well as snack foods and pastry lines will also be available from the ships bars.  

Cruise Departs daily Port Melbourne 9.000 pm .  Arrive Devonport 7.00 am the following day. Depart daily Devonport 9.00 pm .  Arrive Port Melbourne 7.00 am the following day.
(Some extra sailing times may be available during peak periods)
Inclusive: Your cabin accommodation only.
Not inclusive: Meals, drinks, gratuities, amusements, etc.

Cancellation fee of AUD$50 per person applies to all bookings that are cancelled 30 days prior to departure.
